Leisurely sermon enlivens districts in 2016

SHAH ALAM, 18 Oct: The proposed relaxed sermons highlighted in the Talk – Road to Heaven has been extended to district levels through various activities following the resounding response.

The Exco for Islamic Affairs, Malay Customs & Heritage, Rural and Traditional Village Development, Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, said that such programmes are being placed into the Karnival Kampungku Kesayanganku (3K) programme starting next year.

“Talk – Road to Heaven at the state level is hoped to be extended to district levels with the District Islamic Religious Department taking the initiative to hold them.

“The informal knowledge programme can be held in leisurely places such as night markets and food areas together with the people, especially the young people,” he told Selangor Kini.

In the meantime, Ahmad Yunus is also actively formulating improvements to the 3K programme such as port-wedding workshops.

“There is a demand for such programmes as we currently see divorces and fights in the family system,” he said.
