SHAH ALAM, JUL 25: Residents who have applied for funds to repair their homes under the Welfare State Flat Reparation Scheme (Ceria) can check their application status on the Housing and Land Board’s website.
Housing, Building Management and Urban Settlement Exco Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad said residents can check their status directly without having to consult their housing Joint Management Body (JMB) or Management Committee (MC).
“There were residents who were not informed by JMB and MC on their application status and later on blamed the state government,” said Iskandar in a media statement.
He said that since 2012, there were 171 low-cost flats repaired under the CERIA programme with costs amounting to RM33.3 million. Currently repair works are ongoing in 44 areas.
