PUCHONG, JUL 20: The Rumah Selangorku housing project continues to receive positive response as it helps Selangor citizens, especially those in the middle and low income categories, to own houses.
Checks by Selangorkini revealed that the public supports the state government project as it fulfils the needs of the majority who want affordable housing.
Hamidon Jashim, 57, said this state government effort was good for the public, seeing that many citizens took the opportunity to apply to own a Rumah Selangorku unit.
“I myself am interested in buying and owning a unit from the newly launched project. It suits my needs and the price is affordable and in accordance with the set category,” he said.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali officiated the Taman Puchong Utama Rumah Selangorku ground-breaking ceremony yesterday, a joint venture between the state government and Hillcrest Gardens Sdn Bhd, a property developer.
As many as 1,162 units will be built in this project and is divided into three categories, B with 750 sq ft, C2 (900 sq ft) and D (1,000 sq ft), costing between RM100,000 and RM220,000.
A prospective buyer, Mohd Hakimi Abdullah, 37, said that the Rumah Selangorku project with its affordable prices would be able to solve the problem of owning a home that the public faced because of high property prices.
“There certainly are many who are keen about this project and I myself am interested to buy.
“Let’s hope that there are many more projects like this for the benefit of those who need it,” he said.
