30% quota of Rumah Selangorku for civil servants and retirees

SHAH ALAM, AUG 29: Selangor civil servants, police retirees and soldiers are alotted 30% quota purchases of Rumah Selangku affordable housing.

Dato’ Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the decision was made after taking into account the current rising cost of buying a house.

“Civil servants can no longer afford to get a house at the price of RM400,000 due to the current rise of cost of living.

“So we have set a 30% quota for civil servants, police retirees and soldiers to be given priority in purchasing Rumah Selangorku,” he said.

Mohamed Azmin said he was informed that there were already more than 70,000 applications from the public for house purchase of Rumah Selangorku.

He understood the demand of the public in having their own houses, and was optimistic about the proactive step taken to aid the people in owning houses.

This includes the initiative to consider any application for process from the public, State Government staff and the housing developer’s staff.
