STEM Kickstart Programme receives encouraging response

SHAH ALAM, AUG 29: The Selangor Government through the Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation Standing Commitee, has successfully organised the STEM Kickstart Program which received encouraging response.

Education Exco Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said that the serial programme for school students has been on-going since 2015.

“Focusing on knowledge exposure in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), it is hoped that the programme will attract student interest and shape innovative and creative minds.

“Every student received an electronic board kit, and learned how to activate the board kit through special programs. Apart from that, students learned the application concept of energy saving sensor,” he said during the programme conducted August 23 – 24, in Jeram, Kuala Selangor.

He added, the programme had been organised in collaboration with Mahsat Global Resources Sdn Bhd, which develops applications, systems and learning modules.

The programme had also been organised in Hulu Selangor, which included a programme with Universiti of Selangor (UNISEL) lecturers and students. The next programme targets students in Gombak.
