KUALA LUMPUR, OCT 5: Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) employees are asked to carry out their duties and responsibilities with integrity, and provide the best services to the community.

Yang Dipertua Abdul Hamid Hussain said that in line with the annual integrity month in October, every staff member of the local authority should make it a common practice.

“Integrity is not an issue only related to non-corruption but a wider concept.

“Our daily work culture demands integrity such as being punctual, integrity in delivering information, providing the best service, and in relationships with departmental heads and colleagues,” he said.

He was speaking in the MPAJ Monthly Assembly and launching of the MPAJ Integrity Day and Language Month on October 5.

He said that in line with the State Government’s expectations, the council and its employees are also tasked with providing the best services to the community and must be willing to work overtime and beyond their respective scope of work.

“To foster and cultivate the National Language, the council had participated in several National Language Month competitions at KPKT level since 2014.

“Its most significant achievement was a five-star rating for Local Authority National Language Star Rating System (SPB PBK) in Kuching, Sarawak, recently.

“This reflects the council’s commitment in upholding Bahasa Melayu as our country’s National Language,” he said.
