SHAH ALAM, NOV 3: Facebook live audience favour Selangor Budget 2017, presented by Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali compared to the tight budget announced by the Federal Government, presented by Prime Minster Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Kinrara Assemblyman Ng Tze Han said that out of 10,000 viewers, 80% gave their thumbs up by clicking the ‘like’ emoticon and really liked it by clicking the ‘love’ emoticon; while only 1.5% pressed negative emoticons (sad and angry).

“The 2017 Budget tabled by the Prime Minister on October 21 was clearly rejected by citizens because of the out-pouring of negative responses.

“Of the 60,000 responses by Facebook live viewers, almost 50% showed negative reactions by clicking the angry or sad emoticons,” said Ng during the 2017 Selangor Budget debate at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly.

He further explained that it proves citizens favour the Selangor Budget that prioritises citizens, and rejected the ‘tight budget’ presented by the Prime Minister.

Prior to this, as soon as the Prime Minister presented the 2017 Budget, his official Facebook page was flooded with criticisms by the people.

The vast number of criticism overshadowed the small fraction of positive comments in support of Najib and Umno-Barisan Nasional.
