Allocation for KAFA & Maahad Integrasi follows operating grade

SHAH ALAM, NOV 8: Allocations for religious schools Kelas Al-Quran Fardhu Air (KAFA) and Maahad Integrasi Tahfiz Sains for 2017 are in accordance with the operating grade and eligibility.

Islamic Affairs, Committee of Islamic Affairs and Rural Development and Traditional Village Exco Dato’ Dr Yunus Hairi said that religious schools across the state will also received facilities and continuous monitoring from the State Government.

“This allocation is subject to the category of operations, namely; Grade A with allocation of RM813,800, Grade B with RM406,200 and Grade C with RM222,600.

“Facilities also include security guards, cleaners, permanent teachers, kafa teachers and allocations of new allowances for permanent and supporting staff,” he said.

He was answering questions by Meru Assemblyman Dr Abdul Rani Osman who raised questions on the annual allocation for religious primary schools throughout the state at the Selangor State Assembly.

Prior to this, prospects for development and education facilities for Sekolah Agama Rakyat (SAR) and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (SJK) Chinese and Tamil had also received the attention of the State Government for 2017.

Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, when presenting the 2017 State Budget, said that allocation had increased from the previous year, to ensure the quality of education continue to sustained.

“The State Government has allocated RM16 million since 2013, for educational infrastructure at Sekolah Agama Rakyat (SAR), Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina SJK (C) and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil SJK (T).

“Budget 2017 proposes provisions for SAR to be increased to RM9 million, while SJK (C) is increased to RM7 million and SJK (T) allocations boosted to RM5 million,” he said.
