SK Taman Sungai Besi Indah shaking, cause still in investigation

KUALA LUMPUR, AUG 23: A total of 300 students and teachers of Sekolah Kebangsaan SK Sungai Besi Indah, Kajang, were directed out of the school building following the shaking, yesterday afternoon.

In the incident around 3:20 pm, teachers and school staff ordered all the afternoon’s session students to gather at the parking area, BH ONLINE reported.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director, Sani Harul said two fire engines with the strength of nine officers and members were rushed to the scene after receiving information.

“Based on the information received, a four-storey building shakes until the school authority takes action to clear the building.

“The Selangor Fire Department also informed the incident to the Hulu Langat Public Works Department (JKR) for further action,” he said when contacted last night.

Sani said there were no reported injuries from the result of the shaking and during the process of moving out the students.

Until 8 pm last night, JKR still conducting checks, but still has not identified the cause of the shaking.
