The fate of OA Racing Team Indigenous racers given attention

SERDANG, 19 Oct: The fate of the talented racers of the OA RAcing Team, Abdul Affendi Hadi and Aizil Azri Hadi, will change when the issue of sponsorship is resolved in the near future.

The Exco for Young Generation, Sports, Culture and Entrepreneur Development, Amirudin Shari, said that the matter was informed and effort is being made so that it can resolve it for the future of the indigenous siblings.

“We know of this matter, I only have to meet with the racers and their family, perhaps in the next two weeks.

“It is to solve the problem and we hope that it can bring them to a higher level,” he told Selangor Kini.

It is understood that the OA Racing team, which is being represented by Abdul Affendi, 18, and his brother, Aizil Azri, 13, is facing sponsorship problems to continue participation in the race.

Abdul Affendi, as the lead racer in the team that is based in Kampung Bukit Tadom, Banting, proved this ability by recording four podium victories at the Malaysia Cub Prix last year.

However, due to problems, the racer of a Honda 115 only managed to participate in seven of the 10 overall laps and managed to finish fourth overall.
