CM: 2016 Budget focuses on development directly to the people

SHAH ALAM, 20 Aug: The 2016 Budget will focus on direct development for the people and it is expected to be presented in November.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the budget will be formulated in accordance with the current situation and some matters pressing the people at the moment.

“Starting next week, we will discuss it at the workshop to formulate the 2016 Budget and will take into account the current situation.

“The state government is responsible for managing in a prudent manner by concentrating on direct development for the people,” he said, answering a question from Haslin Hassan (PAS-Tangjung Sepat) regarding the state financial reserves.

Mohamed Azmin said that the amount of provisions will also be decided for the construction of community halls in rural areas.

“Fulfilling the state government’s desire, there is of course the need of halls.

“We have already discussed this a few months ago; what are the needs of rural communities,” he said.

Haslin previously wanted refurbishment provisions or new construction of the use of rural communities who are falling behind in the state development.
