LZS receives RM4 million in tithes by TNB

KAPAR, 25 June: The Selangor Tithe Board (LZS) received the business tithe from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) amounting to RM4,148,035.35.

The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, received the business tithe from the Selangor TNB General Manager, Datuk Ir Mohd Azim Datuk Yusof, for the business tithe for the financial year of 2014.

This year, LZS distributed RM30,778,900 in tithe assistance to 41,568 poor and needy families across Selangor for Ramadan and Shawwal.

Of the total, 11,400 needy families received tithe assistance amounting to RM8,623,700, while RM22,146,200 was given to 30,168 poor families.

Also present at the ceremony was the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, the Selangor State Secretary, Datuk Mohammad Khusrin Munawi, the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) Chairman, Datuk Setia Mohamad Adzib Mohd Isa.

Also present was the Selangor Mufti, Datuk Setia Mohd Tamyes Abd Wahid, the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) Director, Datuk Haris Kasim, and the LZS Chief Executive Director, Husin Mohd Ali.
