PANDAN INDAH, 19 May: The Selangor PAS Commissioner, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, confirmed that he is contesting for the Vice President post in the elections this June.

The decision witnesses him rejecting the candidature for the Central PAS Committee Member after receiving 38 nominations for the Vice President’s post.

“After talking with friends and obtaining views from the leadership, I has decided to reject the nomination for the Central PAS Committee Member and accept the nomination for Vice President.

“It is also to respect the wishes or nominations given by all areas involved,” he said, greeted by cheer from supporters.

The decision by Iskandar, who is also the Selangor Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Living, will witness him contesting with two other people, Salahuddin Ayub and Datuk Husam Musa.

The PAS leadership election will be held at the 61st PAS Congress in Kuala Selangor, starting June 4 to 6.
