SHAH ALAM, 11 Mar: The state government, through the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) is continuing cloud seeding operations twice a day to increase the capacity at dams.

The LUAS Information Officer, Ishak Kamaruzaman, said that cloud seeding is being done every day at the focus areas at the Sungai Selangor and Sungai Tinggi dams following the hot weather that is expected to continue until this April.

“The latest development is that we are conducting cloud seeding every day in the morning and evening,” he said when contacted by Selangor Kini.

He said that the current level of the Sungai Selangor and Sungai Tinggi dam is at 74.82 percent (172.08mm3) and 70.19 percent (80.37mm3).

The Sungai Selangor dam supplies about 60 percent of treated water to Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
