Selangor is committed to helping the people obtain land titles

SABAK BERNAM, 6 Jan: The Selangor government will continue to give their full commitment to ensure that the people receive land rights in village areas.

The Exco for New Village Development, Ean Yong Hian Wah, stressed that this commitment, since 2008, includes the residents in quay villages.

He said that the Selangor government intends to help the people in the state, especially those who have long occupied a certain area.

“We are always open and trying to ensure that the residents obtain legal status for the area they have been occupying.

“As before, we have decided to give priority to those living near river reserves to obtain temporary occupation licenses (TOL),” he said.

He said this during the Land Title Presentation Ceremony for the housing sites to 35 recipients today.

The event was held at the Hui Leng Kong Temple Hall in Kampung Bagan Sungai Burong and was also attended by the Sabak Bernam Land Administrator, Samsudin Mon and the Sekinchan Assemblyman, Ng Suee Lim.

Meanwhile, Samsudin hoped that the granting of the land titles will rid the anxiety of the residents of the area.

“For the record, almost all areas in Bagan Burong have been approved ownership.

“May the daily activities of the villagers continue to run smoothly without any apprehension,” he said.
