SHAH ALAM, 14 Aug: The outstanding leadership of the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, who applies the concept of corporate governance in the administration of the State Government which has led to bringing benefits to the people, will be emulated by Yayasan Selangor for the advancement of education in the state.

Under the leadership of Abdul Khalid since he led the State Government, the Merakyatkan Ekonomi Selangor (MES) agenda is the core in protecting the welfare of the people.

The General Manager of Yayasan Selangor Ismail Idris, said that this is appropriate with Abdul Khalid’s background as a prominent corporate figure, and in fact the idea and planning for the progress of Selangor is accurate.

He said that the Chief Minister has carried out his duties with excellence when all concepts applied based on corporate, with the increase in income, is a priority.

“Abdul Khalid’s way in doing this is right for Selangor. Personally, I want to apply the same principles in Yayasan Selangor; a corporate image and business based.

“In education, we need to generate income for progress and for the long-term. Therefore, if Yayasan Selangor is managed properly, the children of Selangor that is produced will have their own value and in turn, help the state economy and Malaysia in general,” he told Selangor Kini recently.

The implementation of the same principles planned by Ismail is seen to be in accordance with the foundation’s motto ‘Merakyatkan Pendidikan Selangor’; the importance of education for the people to produce human capital that if of quality and poise.
