Purchase of RM110 Million Condo Involves Riza Shahriz’s Business Partner

PETALING JAYA, 30 Dec: The son of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Riza Shahriz Abdul Aziz’s ability to afford to buy a RM110 million condominium in New York, as reported by the Sarawak Report website, has brought about suspicion.

Instead, the move to buy a condominium at the Park Laurel on West 63rd Street in New York on 19 November 2012 is believed to involve his business partner in the Hollywood film production company.

Therefore, the parties involved have been urged to disclose how the Prime Minister’s stepson obtained the money to buy the luxury property and the identity of his business partners.

The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Strategy Director, Rafizi Ramli, said that the disclosure should be done to avoid any negative perception of the Prime Minister and his family.

“It is not logical. At his age, about the same age as I am, and in a short time, there is no way that he collect money, affording him to purchase the RM110 million condominium.

“Even if he followed his mother’s practice of saving since he was still young, it is still illogical,” he said in a press conference at the PKR Headquarters today.

Rafizi said that hiding the identity of Riza’s business partners only gives raise to the assumption that he used the influence and power of the most ‘influential’ women in Malaysia.

The Sarawak Report website previously reported that Rosmah’s son, from her previous marriage, bought property at the Park Laurel on West 63rd Street in New York on 19 November 2012.

The report quoted the website of a New York real estate company, The Real Deal, which stated that property, a penthouse, has seven rooms.
