DiCaprio Confirms Rosmah’s Son is the ‘Backbone’ of The Wolf of Wall Street

SHAH ALAM, 18 Jan: Hollywood actor, Leonardo DiCaprio confirms Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor’s son, Riza Shahriz Abdul Aziz, was involved in the film The Wolf Of Wall Street that sparked controversy around the world.

This was proven through DiCaprio’s speech upon receiving the Golden Globe Best Actor Award in the United States recently.

The Los Angeles, California-born actor, in his speech, thanked Riza and mentioned several other names of people who were involved in the making of the film.

“Thank you to the entire production team, Joey, Riza and Joe…for taking a risk on this movie,” he said.

The speech can be viewed on Youtube, frm minute 1:37, and the video was also shared by the Seri Setia Assemblyman, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, on his Twitter social networking site to confirm that Riza was the “backbone” of the film.

“At minute 1:37, he credits Riza and several other individuals, including ‘Joe’ and the question is of ‘Joe’ refers to the advisor of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Jho Low?” he said on Twitter.

The controversial film is based on the true story of the Wall Street stockbroker, Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio) who was jailed for corruption and commercial crime. The film also starred several other Hollywood actors such as Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie and Matthew McConaughey.

DiCaprio agreed to act in the film because of the friendship he established with Riza over the past few years.

Riza, however, refused to comment on the controversy over the film which cost almost RM326 million and allegations that he was backed by financial support from his mother.
