Selangor Improves Bureaucracy, Helps Apartment Owners Receive Ownership Certificate

KAJANG, 3 Mar: Various bureaucratic red tape that needs to be gone through by strata property owners in receiving their respective ownership certificate will be overcome when the Selangor Government makes agreements for this to be simplified and smooth.

The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that the enthusiasm shown by the State Government is a responsibility that should be carried out by State Government agency offices to help the people of Selangor.

“Selangor will improve bureaucracy for the production of strata so that apartment owners can receive it quickly. Going by the existing bureaucracy in strata production, it would not be issued until after three generations,” he said.

He said this at the inauguration of the Joint Management Body (JMB) and Management Corporation (MC) Premier Assembly and the Selangor State ‘K-Star’ Apartment Smart Community Award ceremony at the Selangor Islamic University College (KUIS) yesterday.

Meanwhile, during the assembly that attracted the participation of about 200 JMB/MC management members across Selangor, Abdul Khalid also congratulated committees mobilising the JMB/MC at their respective areas without expecting any reward.

“The State Government indeed recognises the experience of committee members who are present today for willing to sacrifice time and energy without being paid an allowance or a salary, in addition to often facing residents with various problems,” he said.

He said that the responsibility as a committee member is a heavy responsibility as they have to deal with various problems from residents of diverse backgrounds such as level of education, political understanding and so on.

Abdul Khalid also took the opportunity to remind residents to maintain the cleanliness of their respective home environments to prevent Aedes mosquito breeding which causes dengue.

“Keep in mind that a dirty or polluted environment causes the breeding of mosquitoes and let us help stop the spread of dengue that is currently worrisome, especially in Selangor,” he said.
