KAJANG, 13 Mar: Despite her husband being sentenced to five years in jail by the Court of Appeal, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail still prays for the three judges to be given guidance by Allah.
Wan Azizah said that the sentence was persecution against her and her family when the decision affects political power.
“I cannot accept the hearing because the judges were weak. May Allah give them guidance.
“I was given an hour for them to pass the sentence. Easily five years in prison,” he said during the Kajang by-election campaign yesterday.
She said that her fight is not merely for her family but for all victims of oppression by Barisan Nasional (BN), including the families of the Internal Security Act (ISA) detainees.
“At least when I am not around, I can answer what I have done for the people of Malaysia,” she said.
In relation to this, she urged Kajang voters to reject BN to state the manifestation of fighting for justice and rejecting tyranny.
