Tian Chua Prevented from Entering Sabah, an Absurd Action

SHAH ALAM, 18 Apr: The Vice President of PKR, Tian Chua, was once again prevented from entering Sabah today.

Through the Twitter social networking site, Tian Chua informed that he was prevented by immigration officers when he arrived at the Kota Kinabalu Airport.

He said the restriction of movement for members of the opposition to enter the state is getting ridiculous, as it is travelling within the country.

“The officer said that they received a directive from the Chief Minister of Sabah to not allow me to enter.

“I was then escorted from the Immigration Office and taken to the departure lounge and I was officially sent back to Kuala Lumpur at 3.30 this evening,” he said.

Tian Chua regards what has happened to him this week as terrible, especially when the police seized his mobile phone, he lost his friend in a traffic accident and now he has been barred from entering Sabah.

He was scheduled to visit Kota Marudu to attend the PKR party election programme.

Previously, on 7 April, Tian Chua was prevented from entering the state because of his statement of linking the Lahad Datu invasion with Umno.

He informed that the Sabah Government has issued a ban order on him.

Meanwhile, on 25 March, Tian Chua, together with the PKR Secretary-General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution, and the Strategy Director, Rafizi Ramli, suffered a similar fate.

They were barred from entering Sarawak when they arrived at the Sibu Airport to assist in the Balingan by-election.
