SHAH ALAM, 2 July: Today, the Selangor Government announced that they will be giving a bonus of one month’s salary, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri, to civil servants of the state.

He said that a total of RM32.7 million has been allocated by the State Government for the bonus.

“The State Exco have agreed to give one month’s salary of bonus based on the length of service, dated June 30, and the decision was made because the state’s financial report showed an increase in revenue collection from last year until June 30, 2014.

“Last year, for the same period, the total revenue collected was RM1.136 billion, and this year, it amounts to RM1.162 billion.

Abdul Khalid said that the decision to give a bonus of one month’s salary is also extended to the staff of local authorities and subsidiary companies of the State Government.

However, it is subject to the financial ability and the decision of the respective companies’ Board of Directors.

“I hope that this bonus can reduce the expenses of State Government employees to prepare for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations.

“I urge all civil servants to spend prudently and to allocate a part of the bonus for future savings,” said Abdul Khalid.
