SHAH ALAM, 24 Nov: The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, suggested for the Assemblymen’s provisions to be increased to RM700,000 per year.

Mohamed Azmin said that the decision is made to improve the services of the people’s representatives through the Mesra Rakyat Programme.

“I proposed for the provisions for state government assembly members to be increased by RM100,000, making it RM700,000 per year.

“Starting 2015, the Assemblymen’s provisions will be extended to Assemblymen from the Opposition with an allocation of RM200,000 per year,” he said when presenting the Selangor Budget 2015 at the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) today.

The provision will also be received by the Independent Assemblyman who is also the former Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

“A proposal of RM100,000 a year will be allocated for parliamentary coordinators appointed by the state government,” said Azmin.
