State government has good intentions of distributing RM200,000 in allocation to the opposition

SHAH ALAM, 26 Nov: The Chief Minister, Mohaed Azmin Ali, stressed that the move by the state government to provide the RM200,000 allocation to the opposition is well intended and fair.

“They will manage the RM200,000, while the constituency coordinator will manage RM500,000, bringing the total received by the people to RM700,000; the same for every constituency.

“They should be thankful and grateful because this is a good step to acknowledge the opposition,” he said.

When presenting the Selangor budget 2015, Mohamed Azmin announced that the opposition will receive an allocation of RM200,000 per annum.

Mohamed Azmin said that the provision will also be distributed to the Port Klang constituency which is represented by the former Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, as the only independent representative in the state.

However, Mohamed Azmin’s announcement was not accepted by Assemblymen from the opposition when they all refused the provisions on November 25.
