CM: Assures to practice quality development, state wealth distributed fairly

KLANG, 11 Dec: The Selangor government guarantees to practice development based on efforts to generate quality growth and fairness in distribution.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that through this philosophy of development, the state’s wealth will be distributed fairly and will not only be focused on the wealthy only.

“With support from the Selangor State Assembly members, the recent Selangor State Assembly (DNS) session approved a budget totaling RM2.4 billion for 2015.

“The Budget 2015 demonstrates the new fiscal approach by placing emphasis on development expenditure to be increased to 47 percent compared to the administrative expenses, which has been reduced to only 53 percent,” he said.

Mohamed Azmin said this when giving his speech in conjunction with the 69th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today.

He said that his administration is determined to continue to maintain the viability and fertility of the Malay culture, with all its diversity.

For that purpose, Mohamed Azmin promised that his administration will double its efforts to stimulate cultural activities by seeking the human dimension in development.

“The diversity of religions is not intended to create conflict or prejudice, but the diversity will be made a strength.

“Therefore, the administration guarantees the harmony of your (the Sultan’s) people is maintained so that there will not be conflict and chaos in this composite society,” he said.
