BN Assemblyman welcomes the traffic master plan

SHAH ALAM, 14 Apr: The opposition is ready to work with the state government to develop the master plan to overcome traffic congestion in a more holistic manner in Selangor.

Semenyih Assemblyman, Datuk Johan Abd Aziz, said that he supports the pure effort in the interest of the people despite different political beliefs.

“The implementation should have been undertaken by the state government since before. Each Assemblyman understands their responsibilities to the people and I will cooperate in this development,” he told Selangor Kini.

The state government resolves to develop a master plan to overcome traffic congestion in Selangor before being handed over the the Public Works Ministry.

The Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the plan will enable a comprehensive traffic solution which is not confined to a specific area.

“We can submit this to the federal government because we want traffic solutions in Selangor to not be limited to the construction of highways,” said Mohamed Azmin.

Elaborating, Johan hopes that the state government’s commitment will be fully realised and not just ’empty talk’.

“I hope that this commitment can be implemented as best possible, not like the Sungai Klang clean-up project. We supported this aspiration and the budget was approved, but until now, we have not seen success,” he said.
