Selangor Science Park development brings investment of RM1.5 billion

PUTRAJAYA, 25 May: The cooperation between the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and Raudhah City and an outside company to develop the Selangor Science Park (SSP) will being in a return of investment of RM1.5 billion.

The PKNS General Manager, Azlan Md Alifiah, said that the overall development of the SPP brings in a gross development value (GDV) of up to RM20 billion and is expected to be completed in 15 years.

“Currently, PKNS has developed 20 to 30 acres. We encourage development in order to be a catalyst for the area.

“This is a new product and area that attracts foreign and local investors as this place is strategic and very close to Kuala Lumpur,” he told Selangor Kini.

He said that the SPP that is located in Putrajaya with an area of 1,300 acres is expected to be the pinnacle of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) as a driver of Selangor’s socio-economy.

The park will also lead in the development catalyst for the state’s New Township New City.

“In 2011, this park was awarded the best plan for new areas and we see this as being sequential for development to begin.

“In the next 15 years, we will boost the areas of Cyberjaya and Sepang. We will develop a community not only in terms of rapid development but also including education featured development.

He also informed that PKNS will begin the construction of the new bridge in July and is expected to be completed in 12 months in the area.
