CM: Make Bersih 4.0 the largest people’s gathering

SHAH ALAM, 28 Aug: The Bersih 4.0 rally in the capital on August 29 and 30 is expected to be the largest gathering of the people in history, said Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.

When confirming his attendance at the rally tomorrow, he said that the people are responsible to rise up to save the country as it is becoming more and more damaged.

“I invite the people to view this as their right, not only among Pakatan Rakyat (PR) or Bersih supporters, but to save the country and revive the economy.

“Looking at the economic issue, the depreciating value of the ringgit and foreign investor confidence, the people have to rise up for the success of this rally,” he said.

He said this after attending the Selangorku Housing Purchase Special Financing Scheme Agreement at the State Government Secretary’s Office foyer today.

Mohamed Azmin said that what the people want now are trustworthy and responsible leaders to lead the country.

“This is a right guaranteed by the constitution and I am certain that the rally will be peaceful for the sake of saving the country and reviving the economy,” he said.
