Economy monopolised by Umnoputera driving natives backwards

SEGAMBUT, 10 Oct: Bumiputera companies in the country are marginalised and they find it hard to compete with Umno-BN corny companies, also known as Umnoputera.

PKR Vice President, Nurul Izzah Anwar, said that this is because the company has to compete with Umnoputera companies that often have easy access to obtain any projects.

“We are troubled by an economy monoploised by Umnoputera, this is the issue. When time is related to Bumiputera companies, many companies are left behind or marginalised because they are not companies known as Umnoputera,” said the Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament to Selangor Kini.

She said this after the Health Prayer for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the Welfare of the Country at Anwar’s residence recently.

Nurul Izzah said that Bumiputera companies are also forced to crawl on the ground compared to Umnoputera companies funded by big businessman and who also have privileges from Umno-BN leaders.

He added that the problem will be worse if the TPPA is signed causing Bumiputera companies to lose their privileges and they have to compete with foreign giants.
