Tourism Malaysia Launches VMY 2014 Sticker Photo Contest

SHAH ALAM, 19 Dec: Today, Tourism Malaysia launched the Photo Sticker Contest/Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014 Sticker to increase the acceptance of the campaign among local citizens and expatriates simultaneously across the country.

The contest will take place for three months by providing a variety of exciting prizes, including domestic tour packages for 30 participants who win each month, starting 1 January to 31 March 2014.

At the Selangor level, the programme was launched by the Director of Tourism Selangor, Mohammad Nor, accompanied by the State Tourism Unit, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the North South Expressway Project (PLUS) representative here at the Batu Tiga Toll Plaza.

The VMY 2014 car stickers features the proboscis monkey, which is also the official mascot of the campaign, involving 15 circulation locations; at six toll locations and one rest and relaxation (R&R) stop under the supervision of PLUS, as well as states that are not connected by the highway.

At the launch, Mohammad, together with representatives from PDRM and PLUS distributed the VMY 2014 car stickers to motorists at the aforementioned toll plaza.
