SHAH ALAM, August 4: A total of 0 children from two orphanages were celebrated by the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim in an Iftar here at his official residence yesterday.
Al-Fidraus Charity Home in Gombak and the As-Syafie Children Development Orphanage in Puchong.
Also celebrated at the event were 15 NGOs consisting of the Association of Former/Retired Police, and the Selangor and Federal Territory Deaf Association.
The event began with a Nasyid presentation which was further enlivened by the presentation of Hari Raya packets to the guests.
Abdul Khalid was accompanied by his wife, Puan Sri Salbiah Tunut and the Executive Councillor in charge of Welfare and Women’s Affairs, Rodziah Ismail.
