PETALING JAYA, 6 Aug: The Selangor Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) press conference at the PKR Headquarters was in chaos when there were two clearly contradicting press statements.

One was titled ‘MPN Selangor cadang dua nama untuk selesai kemelut MB’ (Selangor MPN suggests two names to resolve the CM crisis) while another was titled ‘Keadilan Selangor bersama Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah’ (Selangor Keadilan is with Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah), both allegedly distributed by two individuals wearing shirts with the PKR logo.

It prompted some reporters to seek clarification from the Member of Parliament for Ampang, Zuraida Kamaruddin and several leaders who participated in the press conference.

Instead, the Permatang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Coordinator, Yahya Shari, claimed that there was sabotage at the press conference, while pointing fingers at the reporters.

“You accepted it, who circulated it? Perhaps a reporter distributed because we were sitting in front, you were sitting in the back,” he said after the press conference ended.

The allegations caused unease among reporters before the chaos was calmed by the Member of Parliament for Kapar, G Manivanan, who recalled the allegation.

“We respect all reporters. You were only doing your job well. I do not think that it was a reporter, we can check in the video later,” he said.
