SHAH ALAM, 30 Nov: Agricultural industry operators are advised to visit the Selangor Agrofest 2014 which will be held from December 18 to 21.

The Exco for the Selangor State Agricultural Modernisation and Agro-based Industries, Zaidy Abdul Talib, said that the technology exhibition introduced can provide ideas to agricultural industry operators to develop their agricultural production which will in turn bring greater profits.

“We ask farmers to come to the Selangor Agrofest because there are exhibitions in terms of agricultural technology. Farmers will be exposed to new technologies,” he said during the Agriculture Roadshow Carnival 2014 in Ijok.

Apart from that, farmers can exchange views with experts in agriculture and livestock rearing in Selangor to get the best advice on the industry.

During the Agriculture Roadshow Carnival in Ijok yesterday, Zaidy, who is also the Assemblyman of Templer, also handed the grant conformation for boat engines and boats to several fishermen while being witnessed by Ijok Assemblyman Dr Idris Ahmad, Kuala Selangor District Officer Sulaiman Abd Rahman, and the President of the Kuala Selangor District Council, Noraini Roslan.

He also planted a soursop tree as the symbol of the opening.

Prior to that, Zaidy made a similar visit to Sekinchan and was taken on a tour around the rice mill by the Sekinchan Assemblyman, Ng Suee Lim.

The organisation of the Agriculture Roadshow 2014 in Ijok was the fourth after the first time in Tanjung Sepat on November 16.

Selangor Agrofest 2014 is scheduled to be held from 18 – 21 December, 2014, at the Sungai Besar Stadium.
