The Paya Jaras Assemblyman, Mohd Khairuddin Othman, said that the approval process for the new settlements, which are also located in the same village, is expected to be completed in April.

“Last Wednesday (March 11) the tire of a Land Rover flew (towards the homes) and previously a lorry carrying concrete also fell on someone’s house.

“We are lucky because there were no casualties in both these incidents. That is why I am asking the District Office, the Land and Mines Office (PTG) and the Chief Minister to expedite the relocation of all residents at the slopes of this highway.

“We have inspected the area, the application has been done and a letter of support has also been issued. Now, we are just waiting for the 5A form which is the grant approval,” said Mohd Khairuddin when met by Selangor Kini at Kampung Seri Indah B yesterday.

Mohd Khairuddin said that the residents involved will be given a residential site located in the same village.

“Overall, there are 15 houses, but it is most important for the nine homes first,” he said.
