SHAH ALAM, 7 May: The water capacity of dams around Selangor are at good and satisfactory levels despite uncertain weather conditions recently.

The Exco for Infrastructure, Public Amenities and Agro-Based Industries, Zaidy Abdul Talib, said that even though dam levels are not at the highest level, it is nothing to be concerned about.

“All dams are at good levels and not at alert or critical states that could cause concern to consumers around the Klang Valley,” he told Selangor Kini.

According to the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) website, the Sungai Selangor dam which supplies water to residents in the Klang Valley, Selangor and Putrajaya is at 70.29 percent or 161.66 million cubic metres.

For the Batu Dam, the reservoir level is at 71.69 percent while Klang Gates is at 72.18 percent or 18.29 million cubic metres.

Meanwhile the Sungai Labu Reservoir is at 84.74 percent at 7.68 million cubic metres and the Langat Dam is at 66.14 percent or 22.55 million cubic metres.

Apart from that, the Semenyih dam is at 57.25 million cubic metres (96.92 percent), Sungai Tinggi dam is at 83.13 million cubic metres (72.60 percent) and the Tasik Subang dam is at 4.21 million cubic metres (100 percent).
