PWB organises leadership course in 56 constituencies

SHAH ALAM, 11 Aug: The Women’s Empowerment Centre (PWB) is organising a Leadership and Gender Understanding Course at all 56 constituencies with an allocation of RM2,500 for each constituency.

PWB Coordinating Officer, Noor Sham Abu Samah, said that the course was to educate women to have leadership in the aspects of household and community.

3.1

“The course is to educate women in time management, negotiation, stress management, decision making, budgeting, motivation, self-image and so on.

“The initiative is not just for women in rural areas but at all levels, including single mothers, career women, housewives, students, and youth,” she told Selangor Kini.

Noor Sham said that the programme will be held for two days every week starting from August 22 and will end in November this year with an allocation of RM30,000.

“We will also provide gender understanding course to provide clearer understanding about the functions and responsibilities of gender in fostering mutual respect.

“Prior to this, many people do not consider gender important, causing abuse and maltreatment of women to be common,” she said.
