Regarding the status of the establishment of Darul Ehsan Investment Group (DEIG) that has raised questions from various parties, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) denied that they will not take any action on the case.

The MACC has taken proactive measures as soon as the issue of the establishment of DEIG was reported by the media on August 19 by interviewing several witnesses and collecting related documents.

So far, the MACC could not find any offence under the MACC 2009 Act (ASPRM 2009) and does not intend to take further action.

However, if there is any new information on an offence under the ASPRM 2009, the MACC is ready to take appropriate action in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Meanwhile, regarding the Zakat issue that was associated with DEIG, the MACC has conducted investigations since July 2015 and the investigation is still ongoing.
