SHAH ALAM, JUL 13: The Selangor Hijrah Foundation (HIJRAH), in cooperation with the Selangor Education, Human Capital, Science & Technology Development and Innovation Committee, organised the INSAN programme for entrepreneurial training and development purposes.
HIJRAH Executive Chairman Datuk Mansor Othman said the programme is a joint effort aimed at developing insightful, competitive, skilled and proactive entrepreneurs.
“This joint effort will directly benefit our target group, the lower income group.
“The training will reinforce HIJRAH’s effectiveness for participants especially on personal development, potential and confidence,” he said.
According to him, the INSAN programme implemented according to State Legislative Assembly areas, targets two groups, namely HIJRAH entrepreneurs and their children.
“It is held each week with the goal of strengthening the culture of positive thinking and building participants’ work culture. It also applies the Neuro-Linguistic Programming technique to achieve its main objectives.
“Meanwhile, training programmes for the children are aimed at making them more resilient with exposure and understanding of knowledge, emotions and faith, together with physical and mental endurance,” he said.
Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation Exco Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad was certain that INSAN, which was implemented since 2015, is able to produce more catalysts of change among citizens geared towards a greater and more sustainable progress.
“Cooperation is very welcomed as the aim of both programmes will produce educated citizens, in line with the Smart Selangor idea as proposed by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali,” he said.
‘The Entrepreneurship Course: You are a Champion’ involving 80 participants from Kota Raja and Kuala Langat is scheduled to take place on July 23.
Since its launch on March 24, more than 26,000 entrepreneurs across the state have benefited from the RM1,000 – RM5,000 loans for additional capital to boost their businesses.
