Selangor assemblymen, including Opposition, receive state allocation

SHAH ALAM, OCT 31: Allocation for Selangor assemblymen has increased to RM800,000 a year to help infrastructure work and citizen welfare at each constituency throughout the state.

Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the allocation is also given to assemblymen from Barisan Nasional and independents.

“Assemblymen’s allocations have been reviewed several times to improve the delivery system to the rakyat.

“For the 2017 Budget, I would like to suggest that State Government assemblymen’s allocation be increased to RM800,000,” he said while tabling the 2017 Selangor Budget at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly on October 31.

The announcement is a drastic increase compared to the 2016 Budget that allocated RM700,000.

In the same development, Mohamed Azmin said that State Members of Parliament will receive an allocation of RM300,000 a year.
