SHAH ALAM, 7 July: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, urged parties who are spreading false news regarding the position of the Selangor Chief Minister to stop.
Abdul Khalid said that the allegation is not true because earlier this morning, he chaired the Department of Urban and Country Planning meeting at SUK 2, Shah Alam.
Abdul Khalid’s statement altogether denies news being spread that he will allegedly resign today.
As a result of the dissemination of this news, journalists gathered in front of Istana Mestika, Shah Alam and Istana Shah Alam, Klang, today.
Meanwhile, the Selangor PAS Commissioner, on Twitter, asked the people to not believe the rumours.
“Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is still CM. Do not believe the rumours,” wrote Iskandar.
About 11.30 this morning, another Whatsapp message was spread, allegedly from the National News agency (BERNAMA), saying the Abdul Khalid had resigned and the Selangor PAS Commissioner is expected to take oath to office at 2pm.
However, about an hour later, BERNAMA, through Twitter, denied the news spread on Abdul Khalid’s resignation.
