“There are prehaps participants who were willing to take leave from work to jointly carry the Jalur Gemilang around the city of Shah Alam.

“Participants will circle around the city centre of Shah Alam and visit a number of schools to deliver the Jalur Gemilang.

“Not only does this programme want to cultivate the spirit of independence, but instil a sense of responsibility in continuously preserving and loving the country,” he said during the presentation of the Malaysian flag.

According to him, government machineries and agencies were also invited, including the corporate bodies around the city centre, to distribute the Jalur Gemilang to the public, especially motorists who travel through Persiaran Perbandaran.

Among the government agencies and corporations involved are the Selangor State Health Department, the Shah Alam branch Tenaga Nasional Berhad, the Royal Malaysian Police, the Grand Bluewave Hotel and many others.

“I would like to call on all government agencies, the corporate sector, non-governmental organisations (NGOs and owners of premises) to join in flying the Jalur Gemilang.

“MBSA will continue to make this programme an annual programme to instil the spirit of patriotism, particularly in the younger generation,” he said.
