Kindergarten Operators Support TUNAS Scheme

SHAH ALAM, 5 Dec: Kindergarten and childcare centre operators across Selangor welcomes and supports the state government’s move to make the Selangor Kindergarten Assistance Scheme (TUNAS) successful as it helps ease the burden of parents earning a low wage.

The Headmistress of Tadika ceria Az-Zahrah, Klang, Zaharah Awang, said that the programme should be continues and she is confident that it will receive encouraging response from the people of Selangor.

“The programme implemented has a positive impact on the target group and their burden can be reduced through the assistance received.

“It provides an opportunity for parents to send their children to private kindergartens or childcare centres that have better equipped facilities for children to receive a better and more comfortable education,” she told Selangor Kini recently.

The Manager of Pasti Ikhwan, Sungai Delek, Klang, Mohd Ismail, said that TUNAS provides more opportunities to parents who do not earn a large wage to send their children to childcare centres.

He said that the scheme was a noble and wise move by the state government in caring for the welfare of the people in Selangor.

“It certainly receives support, especially from parents who need help from this programme and I support for it to be continues with more improvements in the future for the benefit of all,” he said.

The Principal of Taski ABIM Al-Hidayah, As-Sakinah, At-Taufiq and As-Saadah, Siti Hajar Min, said that apart from helping less fortunate parents, TUNAS is also able to overcome the problems of nursery operators in matters concerning monthly fee payments.

“There are times we face problem collecting monthly fees, especially at the end of the year, and I find that TUNAS helps a bit in this matter.

“It definitely helps parents in placing their children at childcare centres. I hope that after this, perhaps the state government could create programmes for teachers in kindergartens and childcare centres,” she said.
