Rosmah’s Son Buys RM110 Million Condo in New York

SHAH ALAM, 28 Dec: The stepson of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is 36 years old, reportedly bought a condominium unit worth USD33.5 million (RM110 million) in New York, according to Sarawak Report.

Riza Shahriz Abdul Aziz, the son of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor from her first marriage, bought real estate at the Park Laurel on 15 West 63rd Street in New York.

The report quoted the website of the New York real estate company, The Real Deal, which stated that Riza bought the seven room home on 19 November 2012.

The report in the New York Times, which stated the condominium unit in Central Park West was bought under the shield of a limited-liability company called Park Laurel Acquisition.

Riza began a career in banking after graduating from the London School of Economics in 2000, according to Sarawak Report.

It said he worked with consultancy firm KPMG until 2002 and later with HSBC London, until the 2008 financial meltdown.

Report Sarawak Report also revealed Riza’s involvement behind the making of the film ‘The Wolf on Wall Street’.

Los Angeles Times reported that the R-rated film costs around USD100 million.

Sarawak Report also asked the question: ‘Where did the money come from?’

What is more surprising is the involvement of millionaire Taek Jho Low, Riza’s close friend. Jho Low was previously reported saying that the Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, was his ‘good friend’.

Jho Low was previously implicated as an advisor to the Terengganu Investment Authority (TIA) before it was incorporated into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
