Jingga 13 Will Take Action Against Amar Singh

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 Jan: Jingga 13 will still be taking action against the defamation thrown by the Kuala Lumpur Deputy Chief of Police, Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh, on the allegation that the organisation is among the four groups that planned to cause a stir, including using explosives, at the new year’s celebration.

The Coordinator for Jingga 13, Fariz Musa, explained that the organisation is in the process of discussion with their attorney to determine the action to be taken against Amar Singh.

“We firmly want to declare that Jingga 13 will take action against the accusation. We are talking with our lawyer to decide the form of action which will be taken and we will file a suite,” he said.

Fariz said that although Amar Singh had previously denied making the statement linking the organisation with violence, he did not make an apology.

“He denied it, but did not apologise. After the denial, the police said that there was evidence linking us with such violence and we challenge them to provide the supposed evidence that Jingga 13 plans to overthrow the government with violence as mentioned,” he said.

The Kuala Lumpur Deputy Chief of Police, Datuk Amar Singh, in a statement quoted by the media, said that four organisations, including Jingga 13, plans to cause a stir, including bringing in grenades to the people’s assembly to push for the reduction in price of goods.
