SHAH ALAM, 27 Jan: The Keadilan Youth (AMK) urged for the Barisan Nasional Government to consider the offer of the Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to start a national consensus for sake of maintaining the nation’s peace.

The Penang AMK Chief, Dr Afif Bahardin, said that he deplores those who are trying to create tensions between races and threaten the harmony between races in Penang.

Dr Afif said that their actions of carrying seditious banners and throwing Molotov cocktails at churches in Penang are evil acts and should be renounced by all parties.

He said that he urged the police to take stern and immediate action against those who are wicked and irresponsible.

“Their actions may cause chaos and unrest in Penang.

“It is hoped that every level of society remains calm and together urge tolerance and respect among the various races and religions,” he said in a press statement.
