“The increase of water supply has been channelled by SYABAS to areas affected by the rationing, however this situation is temporary.

“Hence, consumers in areas affected by the rationing have been urged to always be prudent and to keep adequate supply of water from time to time,” SYABAS said in a statement.

SYABAS also said that the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) informed that the water level at the Sungai Selangor dam is still low.

In relation to that, consumers in these areas, including areas not involved in the rationing, have been to be prudent in using water.

“Consumers are also reminded to not act against the law merely to get water, such as damaging distribution pipes.
This act is in violation of the Water Supply Industry Act 2006 and may incur a high penalty,” said SYABAS.
