“We will decide on the (period) of this water scheduling plan after the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) session ends and the State Government will also announce the outcome of the discussions with the Federal Government regarding the restructuring of water in this state,” he told reporters at the State Assembly lobby today.

The water scheduling plan in Selangor, which began since 27 February, is now at its fourth stage and will continue until the end of April.

Meanwhile, in the DNS session, the Chairman for the Standing Committee on Consumer Affairs and Environment, Elizabeth Wong, said that at the moment, there is an increase in the level of water at several dams in this state, including Klang Gates and Sungai Selangor.

“We hope that the ration will only continue only until April, because the Meteorological Department expects rainfall to increase in April and May,” she said.

The issue of the water restructuring and scheduling has been brought up many times in the DNS session this time, including the construction of the Langat 2 plant.
