Azmin and 3 Assemblyman Did Not Attend DNS Session but was Campaigning for the Party Elections

SHAH ALAM, 11 Apr: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim advised Assemblymen who do not attend the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) sessions today to be attentive of their responsibilities to the people.

However, according to Abdul Khalid, the absence of these Assemblymen in the DNS session because they are campaigning in conjunction with the PKR election next month is not prohibited.

“It is alright, but I hope they will remember their responsibilities to the people.

“However, I do not stop them from prioritising in terms of effort carried out,” he told reporters when met at the DNS lobby today, quoted from Sinar Harian.

At the DNS session today, the Assemblyman for Bukit Antarabangsa, Mohamad Azmin Ali; the Assemblyman for Sri Andalas, Dr Xavier Jayakumar; the Sri Muda Assemblyman, Suhaimi Shafie and the Kota Anggerik Assemblyman, Yaakob Sapari, we not seen throughout the session.

In their absence, they were said to be touring several states in the northern Peninsular to campaign in conjunction with the PKR election, which will take place this May.

Azmin will be contesting for the seat of Deputy President, while Xavier will be competing for one of the seats of Vice President.
