Associate Anwar with MH370, BN Assemblyman Challenged to Repeat Statement Outside the Assembly

SHAH ALAM, 17 Apr: The Assemblyman for Permatang from Barisan Nasional (BN), Sulaiman Abdul Razak, has been challenged to repeat his statement, claiming that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had said that the MH370 disappearance incident can be solved one second outside the Selangor State Assembly (DNS).

The Assemblyman for Bukit Antarabangsa, Azmin Ali, who submitted the challenge did so after Sulaiman suddenly brought up the matter when debating on the water crisis in Selangor.

“Anwar did not say that he could solve all (MH370) problems in one second, but questioned why Umno took a long time to resolve this matter because there has been gross negligence, delay and lack of transparency.

“That was meant, do no not bring this issue into the hall and twist the real statement. If possible, can Permatang repeat this outside so we can take action,” he said.

However, Sulaiman later defended his statement that his original intention was to simply question the role of Anwar, who is also the State Economic Advisor, in efforts to solve the water issue.

“I ask the Financial Advisor to appear if he wants to solve the water crisis in Selangor,” he said.

Sulaiman was then slammed by Azmin who said that BN is responsible for preventing Anwar’s entry into Selangor after being dropped from being a candidate for the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

“If you ask him to show up, why stop him from competing in Kajang? If Umno dares, do not stop Anwar from contesting,” he said.

The Deputy Speaker, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, then interjected and advised Suleiman to not raise the issue if he does not want to be criticised by anyone.

“Bukit Antarabangsa brought it up because Permatang raised it, until the issue of submarines. We gave leeway to Permatang to raise the issue of the airplane and if Bukit Antarabangsa interjects, it is his right,” he said.
