KUALA LUMPUR, 29 Apr: The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has ordered the Party Election Committee 2014 (JPP) to not tolerate any form of fraud that takes place in the election this time.
Commenting on the allegations of fraud that took place at Batang Sadong, Anwar cynically said that the JPP is not like the Election Commission (EC) which conceals fraud in the election process.
He stressed that the JPP should immediately investigate the matter as to whether cancel or postpone it if there are elements of fraud.
“The JPP has explained to me. My orders are; if there is any element of negligence or fraud, investigate immediately, cancel or postpone.
“Do not compromise at all. This is our stand. Regardless of which candidate wins,” he said at a press conference today.
He explained that the JPP is not bound by leaders and he personally gives full credence to the JPP.
It is understood that the JPP Chairman, Datuk Johari Abdul, and Malek Hussin are in Sarawak to investigate the allegations of fraud.
Apart from Batang Sadong, the election for Dungun, Kemaman and Setiu have been postponed due to problems faced.
